Hello, and welcome to The Iris Place. For twenty-five years, we have been selling irises to the public. We have over 250 varieties of irises and have over 100 varieties peonies. We welcome visitors during the bloom season which is, depending upon the weather, from late April until late May. The Iris Place is located approximately five miles southeast of Lawrence, Kansas. We offer tall bearded, border, and intermediate irises in a multitude of beautiful colors, some with fragrance. Irises are easy to grow and take very little maintenance. They make an outstanding addition to gardens, walkways and paths.
Peonies are also easy to grow and do not need a lot of special attention. They have a delicate appearance, but in fact are very sturdy plants. With a minimum of care, year after year they increase in beauty and vigor. We are incorporating some of the very newest hybrids in our garden with outstanding new colors and forms.
